feel all the feelings...

I noticed last week that the Tourism Authority of Thailand have launched their marketing campaign for 2026. They're using a gorgeous young gal called LaLisa. As a midlife woman I've not heard nor seen her before. There's a clear demographic they're targeting and it's obviously not me!

The tag line is what got me interested, 'feel all the feelings'.

It's great to see the marketing going beyond the tourist hot spots and focusing on how a place and its people can leave you feeling long after you return home.

It's undoubtedly why I've been going to Thailand for the last 30+ years.

When I returned home from my five months in Phuket in 2023, I was desperate to capture and keep, the deep and restorative feelings that I'd felt while living there. Feelings of contentment, joy, calm and ease. These feelings had been missing from my life for way too long and I wasn't ready to let them go.

Gosh I hope those who do visit Thailand are able to 'feel all the feelings' and be swept up in the unique culture and spirituality by going just a little bit deeper. Stepping away from the main street, going to the quiet beaches, chatting with a local, finding time to just sit and watch and staying curious and asking why?

The marketing blurb says - 'feel a joy blended with calm, not found at a mountain's peak, but among millions of tea leaves stretching beneath the sun, reflecting a warmth the confronts the heart, reminding you that even the smallest joy has the power to heal'.

Amazing Thailand indeed!
